Testimonies of Healing

The unfoldment of the true character of God as taught in Christian Science was such a revelation to me that I was healed of a severe case of catarrh which heal baffled the skill of physicians and all material remedies. I have also been healed of acute indigestion which I had had for several years.

I wish to express through the pages of the Journal my thanksgiving to God and my gratitude to Christ Jesus and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for all the blessings that have come to me through Christian Science. All the pages of many Journals could not contain them, and like the psalmist I can truly say, "If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered," for I have been lifted also "out of an horrible pit" and I have found a God who "forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases," and who has indeed crowned me "with loving-kindness and tender mercies.

A few years ago I accepted Christian Science as the only hope for health. I had been doctoring for nearly two years previous to this and had lost ground continually until I became so ill that my husband and I came home to stay with my mother.

I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. I have had many healings through reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, some of which were instantaneous.

It is now many years since I first became seriously interested in the study of Christian Science. I was not in need of physical healing at that time but was anxious to do all I could to help a dear sister regain her health.

My first personal experience in Christian Science came to me several years ago when, upon locating in an eastern part of the United States, I found it difficult to secure a proper foothold in business. I had exhausted my resources to the extent of being completely out of funds and was well-nigh broken down from worry over my apparent inability to deal with the situation as it confronted me.

I have so often been helped by the testimonies given in the Journal and Sentinel that I send mine hoping that it may be a help to others. It is many years since I heard, through a friend, of Christian Science, and was asked to read the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.

I have long been desirous of expressing my gratitude for the many blessings bestowed upon me and upon my family through the study and application of Christian Science. Many beautiful healings have been experienced, and much intense suffering has been alleviated through the patient work of loving practitioners.

Christian Science has been of the greatest help to me ever since I began studying it several years ago, following the healing of a dislocated jaw. This condition had been the cause of much inconvenience and some pain for quite a time.

There is so much to acknowledge in the fullness of the reward that has come to me and mine in the years we have been studying Christian Science that it is only possible to mention a few of the blessings in one testimony. I first heard of Christian Science when a student in a conservatory of music, but as the one who had spoken to me of it was not a follower of its teachings its verity did not then come to me.
