Testimonies of Healing

I am very grateful that through Christian Science, which has been in my home since I was four or five years old no seriously discordant condition has arisen to be overcome, although many minor manifestations of wrong belief have quickly yielded to the application of the truth. I am very grateful for the chastisements of divine Love which have recalled me to my post when at times the temptation has come to be lax in guarding my thoughts, and by these gentle reminders have made the direction of omnipotent wisdom once again apparent in every little detail of living.

With gratitude and love I send this testimony, trusting it will help someone who is seeking the truth, who is in need of the healing power of God's great love. Every day I have proof of God's loving-kindness to mankind.

The Bible was practically a closed book to me because I could not understand or enjoy reading it, although I did so from a sense of duty. When Christian Science was presented to me, I felt it was just exactly what I had thought religion ought to be and hoped it was all true, although I was rather skeptical regarding the healing because I had neither seen nor heard of any remarkable cure.

I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done and is doing for me, and for the truth about God which Christian Science teaches. My first demonstration was at a time when every material remedy failed to heal me of a serious nervous breakdown, in which I had not only lost control of my nerves but was unable to attend to my light household duties or to walk any distance without suffering mental and physical exhaustion.

The following is a brief expression of gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me and for other members of my family. A great many years ago my mother was healed, in one treatment, of severe stomach trouble, and has never had a return of it.

I have been interested in Christian Science for more than twenty years. Prior to that time I had been very ill, suffering from sciatic rheumatism, and was almost completely crippled with it.

Christian Science was presented to me by a friend when I was indeed in need of it. I was physically ill and mentally depressed, and had given up all faith in God.

I am grateful for the ineffable blessings I have experienced since studying Christian Science. I have had many physical healings, some of which were instantaneous.

It is some time since I have voiced gratitude for God's goodness to me. It is difficult to give sufficient thanks for all the beautiful blessings that flow in daily.

I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science by testifying to what it has done for me. Before I knew anything of this Science I thought I had no God.
