Testimonies of Healing

Although we have been studying Christian Science for four years, and enjoy membership in a Society as well as in The Mother Church, we have never had a testimony published in the periodicals. It is with humility and deep gratitude to God that I testily to some of the many benefits received through the study of Christian Science.

It is many years since I first heard of Christian Science, at a time when, all material means having failed to bring happiness and health, I was induced to seek help through Christian Science, and found it. At first I, like many others, thought only of the material benefits.

As I think of the blessings I have received through the study of Christian Science. I feel I must testify to some of them.

This testimony is written in gratitude for a wonderful healing which my little daughter had about two years ago. She was riding downhill one afternoon in a heavy wagon, on the cement sidewalk, when suddenly the wagon overturned, throwing the child out on her head onto the cement walk, resulting in a bad wound on her forehead.

Christian Science was presented to me at a time when I needed help. I was told by several specialists in New York that my condition was serious and that unless I was operated on immediately there was no hope for relief.

With love and gratitude to God, the author of all good, and to Mary Baker Eddy for explaining to us this truth, I would like to add my testimony. I became interested in Christian Science through my work as a nurse while attending a patient who was having Christian Science treatment, and I have since seen many demonstrations of God's love and protection.

I wish to express my gratitude for the many blessings I have received since coming into some understanding of Christian Science. I have been healed of sprains, rheumatism, a cough, and a severe claim of nervousness which caused me much suffering.

When I stop to realize what life would be to me without the knowledge of Christian Science. I am most deeply grateful that I have a part in trying to live and demonstrate more of this truth.

I came to Christian Science solely for physical help at a time when everything else had failed to give relief. Having been sick for over a year with heart, stomach, and throat trouble, and having tried all kinds of material remedies without benefit.

The only definite help I have ever received has been through the proper application of Christian Science. I have applied this healing truth in my everyday life for the past eight years and in every case where the application has been in accord with the teachings of Mrs.
