Testimonies of Healing

I am so thankful to God and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for the many blessings which I have received through Christian Science.

I feel impelled to give my testimony of healing. Nine months ago I became the mother of a big, healthy baby boy.

While serving with the military forces in German East Africa I contracted malarial fever, which was later diagnosed by the army physicians as cerebral malaria. I passed through three military hospitals and was eventually sent back to my home in South Africa.

I wish to say that the foregoing testimony of my daughter is correct and through her healing I was led to take up the study of Christian Science. I have been healed of constipation, bleeding piles, and aching feet.

I am so thankful for all the blessings I have received through Christian Science that I wish to send my testimony that it may help others. In August, 1917, when my brother was wounded, a friend gave me a Christian Science Sentinel.

I hereby wish to express my deepest gratitude for all that Christian Science has done and is still doing for me. I first heard of Christian Science in 1916, through a friend, when I had dragged myself around for years in great mental distress.

I am very thankful to God and to Mrs. Eddy for Christian Science, which has done and is doing so much good for the whole world.

Through Christian Science I have been enabled to lay aside my glasses, to the use of which I seemed condemned for life. Through Science treatment I was relieved overnight of the cigarette smoking habit, although I had required from forty to fifty cigarettes a day and made many attempts to overcome it through will power.

I wish to add my expression of gratitude to the above testimony, for the many blessings which we have been privileged to experience in our family. In the summer of 1917 my eighty-one-year-old mother manifested a swelling of the glands of the neck.

Five years ago I was healed of rheumatism, after all medical treatment had failed to cure. I have also been healed of tumor in three months' treatment, pneumonia in one treatment, and of susceptibility to colds and sick headaches.
