Testimonies of Healing
Words indeed fail to express my gratitude for Christian Science. It is nearly four years since I took it up, not for physical healing, but because I was not satisfied with what I had, and I am indeed grateful to be able to say I have found more than I ever expected to, for I have indeed found the pearl of great price, which has brought harmony of mind, peace, and the healing of a discontented life.
It is with a deep feeling of love for Mrs. Eddy that I express my gratitude for Christian Science.
I wish to add my testimony to the wonderful benefits I have received through the study of Christian Science. About eighteen years ago I was visiting in a home of Christian Scientists and had my first glimpse of the truth; I was healed in a few hours of a bad sprain and bruises received in a fall down a flight of stairs.
That this testimony to the power of Truth as revealed in Christian Science may help some one is my sincere desire. I shall always remember the occasion on which this religion of Love was revealed to us and with what a wealth of love we were told of God's wonderful care.
I look back over the past year with gratitude for good that has come to me, for the many problems that have been satisfactorily solved through Christian Science, and for the knowledge of God as Love and ever present. I have been healed of many physical discords, for which I am exceedingly grateful; financial difficulties that seemed insurmountable have been overcome.
In giving my testimony of healing in Christian Science, I am bearing witness to the power of infinite Life, Truth, and Love to destroy whatever is unlike good, God. Every inharmonious condition which has presented itself in the last eight years, whether it has been of sickness, accident, or fear of any kind, has been healed by the application of the rule of healing as taught in Christian Science.
In gratitude for relief from physical pain and mental suffering I give this testimony. In 1902 I was teaming and had to keep a book account, and was in such condition I would fall asleep while entering our accounts and could not keep awake while in a warm room.
I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me and for all the blessings I have received through the study of it. It was presented to me about nine years ago, when it proved to me that "man's extremity is God's opportunity.
I have so much to be grateful for that I hardly know where to start. For the past three years I have been a student of Christian Science, and each day some blessing comes to me in such a way that I recognize in it the result of my slight understanding of this wonderful truth.
At the time Christian Science was brought to our attention, we had been seeking a place where our daughter could learn the truth about God. Our experience in endeavoring to find this truth had led us through devious paths, and we were still seeking when the textbook of Christian Science was lent to us.
