Testimonies of Healing
We heard of Christian Science about seven years ago. At that time chaos seemed to reign, both morally and physically.
I Want to express my gratitude for the unnumbered blessings that have come to me through Christian Science. For twenty years I suffered from stomach and nerve trouble, and during the last few years these ills took on more acute forms.
For many months there has been a desire to share with others some of the beautiful blessings which have come to me through the understanding and application of the truth of Christian Science as contained in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.
For the many blessings which have come to me through Christian Science I wish to express my gratitude. About ten years ago I tried many methods of cure and a variety of material remedies for relief from a severe stomach trouble, but met with no success; on life contrary, my condition rapidly became more acute.
I would like to express my gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me in the past four years. For five years previous to taking up the study of Christian Science I was a great sufferer from stomach trouble.
For benefits received through the teachings of Christian Science I wish to express my gratitude. In November, 1912, my face and eyes were severely burned by an explosion of gunpowder.

I was taken one morning with a very hard chill, and called a practitioner; but there seemed to be a complication which caused me to become fearful, and as there was much opposition to Christian Science in the home, I did not respond to treatment, though it was continued for five months.
When Christian Science found me eight years ago, I was strongly impressed by the clear explanations of some Bible verses in a copy of Der Herold der Christian Science, and the longing to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy became so strong that I secured a copy though I did not understand English.
Four years ago I was in such poor health that physicians said I would never be well again. I had been operated on twice, and they said all they could do would lie to operate again, although I might live through the operation and I might not.
In the spring of 1907 I started on a trip to visit relatives in Oakland. When I had about reached my destination the conductor gave the name of a station, and picking up my things I made for the door, not noticing that the train was still moving, and jumped off, landing on my side.
