Testimonies of Healing

I became interested in Christian Science through seeking help for mental unrest and distress, and this wonderful truth has been most beautifully illuminating when the dark clouds of material sense seemed very real. There has been a tendency on my part to listen to mortal mind when wronged or unjustly treated by those who have not understood the truths taught in Christian Science, and in the degree that I have demonstrated love and refused to hold thoughts of resentment it has been proven to me that "Truth and Love come nearer in the hour of woe" ( Science and Health, p.

About seven years ago I decided to try Christian Science. I had been under the care of a physician for nearly two years, and he had finally given up my case as incurable, pronouncing it valvular heart trouble.

A little over three years ago I was healed of an organic disease from which I had suffered for several years. Everything had been done for me in the medical line and the only untried remedy that remained was an operation.

Some five years ago I was asked if I would accommodate a lady in my home for a month. At the time I was not inclined to do so, but thinking it would not be right to refuse I consented to her coming.

It gives me great pleasure to be able to write a testimony of my healing through Christian Science. About three years ago I was troubled with severe pains in my head and shoulders.

In deepest love and gratitude I send my testimony. I realized only a short time ago what my first healing in Christian Science really was—the overcoming of any reliance on material means in sickness.

My coming into Christian Science was not for physical healing, or because I was spiritually dissatisfied, as has been the experience of many, but because my husband became interested after a sudden illness of which he was instantaneously healed through the power of Truth, and as we had always lived together very harmoniously in thought, I felt I must have what he had. We have been benefited greatly since the knowledge of Christian Science came into our home. My mother had an abnormal growth for about fifteen years.
