Testimonies of Healing

It is fifteen years since I became interested in Christian Science, and to-day I find it difficult to remember what it was like to be without it. When it first found me I was a very delicate woman, slowly recovering from an operation, and with no guaranty from my kind physician that the condition would not recur.

I wish to express my deep thankfulness to the giver of all good, our Father-Mother God, and my gratitude to His messenger, Mrs. Eddy, for the healing I have received through Christian Science; also to convey the good news to those who, like myself, are seeking the light, and to say that Christian Science, rightly understood, does heal.

Some years ago, on returning home for my Christmas holidays, I found that my mother, who had been in bad health for some years and who used to be confined to bed three or four days every week, was much better. I began to make inquiries as to what had happened, and she told me that it was Christian Science which had helped her.

I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me and for my family. I did not take up the study of it for physical healing.

A Few years ago while walking down one of our principal streets, I fell into conversation with a stranger, who gave me an invitation to attend a Wednesday evening meeting at the Christian Science church. Knowing nothing about this religion and its adherents, I went so as to satisfy my curiosity.

It is a great pleasure to tell of the blessings that have come to me from the study of Christian Science. In 1909 the liquor habit, and in 1916 the tobacco habit, of many years' standing, was overcome.

The following testimony is given with a heart full of love and gratitude to God, the giver of all good, for Christian Science as discovered and founded by Mrs. Eddy.

I cannot express my gratitude for all that Christian Science has done and is doing for me. After my little girl, five years old, had undergone three operations for appendicitis and its complications, we were told that she could not live.

I am glad to have the privilege of expressing my gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me through a better understanding of man's relationship to God as revealed in Christian Science. To my great surprise, Christian Science not only brought me deliverance from physical ills which medical methods were powerless to alleviate, but proved the solution for many other problems.

I am realizing more and more each day what a blessing it was when Christian Science came into my life. When I was fifteen years of age my father was healed of kidney trouble in a few treatments, after he had been given up by the doctors.
