Testimonies of Healing
Until five years ago I had never heard anything but ridicule of Christian Science, and considered it something to be let alone. I had never been really well, and just at that time was in very bad health, and in dread of a minor operation which seemed to be necessary to correct an internal condition that caused great suffering.
It is with a feeling of deep gratitude that I testify to what Christian Science has done for me. Several years ago I was healed of bowel trouble, severe headaches, and what the doctors pronounced a growth in my side.
I am grateful indeed for what Christian Science has done for me and mine. About seven years ago I had what the doctors called dropsy in its worst form.
I gladly add my testimony to that of my mother, for while witnessing her healing I was also proving the truth for myself. When she took up Christian Science I began to read aloud to her from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.
I desire to express my gratitude for Christian Science, in the hope that my experience may be of help and encouragement to others. This healing truth came to me in the darkest hour that could come into human experience.
In thinking over all the good that has come to me since taking up the study of Christian Science, I cannot find words to express my gratitude. I have been healed of many false beliefs and have learned that I need not be sick any more than I need to sin.
