Testimonies of Healing

I have profound reason to be grateful for Christian Science, as any reader of my experience will readily admit. Three years ago there appeared on my cheek a small sore or growth, which gradually grew larger and more disfiguring.

I am very thankful that I can testify that Mrs. Lundberg has stated the exact facts, for I saw her every day for three weeks or more during that time.

Gratitude for Christian Science and love of the Christ inspire every word of the following testimony. The daughter of a minister, I was brought up to love God, and with a desire to be of service to my fellow man.

I wish to state that everything my wife has mentioned when referring to her illness is correct. At first we thought it was acute rheumatism.

It is nearly six years since I decided to take up the study of Christian Science, and my husband and I, as well as our children, are very grateful for this glorious teaching. When troubles seem to overwhelm us, whether in the form of sickness or difficulties of other kinds, we turn to God for help and are never disappointed.

My acquaintance with Christian Science dates from the year 1901 when, through its ministrations, one near and dear to me was healed almost instantaneously of a nervous condition which had rendered life well-nigh unbearable to her for many months. I did not make the study of this Science my own, however, until some four years later, when a similar condition made it imperative that I turn sincerely and earnestly to it for my own healing and peace of mind.

During the spring of 1912 I was in a much run-down condition, which manifested itself in a numbness in my left side from the hip down, and caused a great fear that I would lose the use of that side. Through the influence of friends I was brought to a willingness to send for a copy of Science and Health and see what the reading of it would do for me.

I would like to prove my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me by giving the following experience. When about to make my bed one morning, I struck my kneecap on a metal projection.

This testimony is sent with a heart full of gratitude to God for the great blessings which I have received. I also realize what we owe Mrs.

" God is Love. " I cannot express just what the truth of these three words meant to me the first evening I came in and read them on the wall of a Christian Science church.
