Testimonies of Healing

It has been about four years since I received a healing, through the efficacy of Christian Science, which has appeared wonderful to many, and the radiance of Truth still remains. For two days I suffered intensely from pain in my eyes, losing my sight for periods of eight or nine hours each day.

It is three years since I commenced reading the Christian Science literature. I was deeply interested at once, and a few months later took up the study of it.

I wish to add my testimony of the healing power of divine Truth. For four years we have depended upon Christian Science for our aid in all problems, and have experienced many wonderful healings,—demonstrations of the ability of divine Love to meet all our needs.

I wish to express my gratitude for the blessings received from Christian Science, which has healed me of an eye difficulty, of biliousness, colds, severe backache, and catarrh. The truth as taught in Christian Science helps us to be better, happier, and more useful.

I would like to tell how much Christian Science has done for me. It healed me of a nervous affection of twenty years' standing.

I am glad I can testify to my sister's healing. The attending physician said to me that he would be glad to hear of her recovery, but that he had no hope, and that medical science could not cure her; but, thanks be to God, she is healed.

It is with a deep sense of thankfulness that I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to God for the many blessings bestowed on me through the teachings of Christian Science. I was enabled,, more than a year ago, to lay off glasses which had been worn for over sixteen years, experiencing a wonderful comfort, such as I had never before known.

We came into Christian Science, not for physical healing, but because upon investigation we found it to be the most wonderful, beautiful truth we had ever known. My husband and I began studying it together, and we entered our four-year-old boy at the Sunday school of First Church of Christ, Scientist, at Elgin, Illinois.

Although words seem inadequate to express my thankfulness to God and my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for the many blessings that have come to me and to the members of my family through Christian Science, I am sending this testimony with the hope that it will benefit some one who may be seeking the truth.

I am thankful for this opportunity to testify as to why and how I came to take up the study of Christian Science. About ten years ago, according to mortal belief and my attending physician, family, and friends, I had descended into "the valley of the shadow of death.
