Testimonies of Healing

I am anxious to give my testimony of the wonderful healing which came to me through Christian Science. I suffered from what is known as articular rheumatism, besides which I also had lung trouble.

I Would like to express my deep sense of gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me and for my family. Three summers ago my little daughter contracted what is known medically as painful rickets, involving softening of the bone.

In the latter part of 1915 I was entirely healed of chronic bowel trouble and hemorrhoids in one Christian Science treatment. For sixteen years I took medicines almost every night.

Eight years ago I was healed of gallstones through Christian Science and I have never had the slightest symptom of this trouble since. Over two years ago I had what is called palsy, or creeping paralysis in my left hand.

I am taking this way to express a little of my gratitude for the many blessings we have received through Christian Science. I was healed of stomach and bowel trouble from which I had suffered for about a year.

" Man's extremity is God's opportunity," and I am grateful to have proved it. After I lost faith in God and mankind, Christian Science was brought to my notice, and I was healed of a supposedly incurable bowel trouble of fifteen years' standing, from which there had been no relief without drugs.

I am very grateful for the protecting power of Christian Science. All through my school life this healing truth has been an ever present help.

I want to tell of some of the blessings that Christian Science has brought into my life. Words could not express all it has done for me.

After about four years and a half of study of and interest in Christian Science, I am persuaded that a brief story of a part of the comforts, healings, and blessings that have come to me and to the members of my family through the application of its teachings will encourage other persons in need of relief and comfort. I had from childhood carried the burdens of malaria, typhoid, and the complex miseries of chills, ague, fevers, sick stomach, headaches, and general poor health, resulting later in weak and defective eyesight, and finally, at the age of forty-three years, in an almost complete breakdown in the form of extreme neuralgia sometimes approaching meningitis.

I desire to confirm what is said in the foregoing testimony and to add that I have had many healings in Christian Science. My children now have no fear of night, and are well, strong boys.
