Testimonies of Healing

I am very grateful for what Christian Science has done and is doing for me each day. Since beginning to study it several years ago, I have been relieved of a chronic ailment from which I had suffered for ten or twelve years.

When Christian Science was presented to me I had been suffering for fifteen years from what the doctors called chronic lumbago. At one time I was confined to the bed for several weeks and could not be turned over or change my position; at other times I would be just able to get around the house with help.

I AM anxious to acknowledge my healing through Christian Science of what at the time was called lung trouble of a quickly developing nature; and the illness certainly was as quickly developed as it was complicated and terrible. The healing, which took place over fifteen years ago, when I was fourteen years of age, was accomplished in six weeks, with the one exception of rugged strength; but later this too came naturally and beautifully.

I had asthma ever since I can remember. Every remedy I heard of was tried, but with only temporary relief, and I often suffered so much that a physician would have to be called.

It is with a grateful heart that I wish to testify to the blessings God has bestowed upon me through Christian Science. In August, 1912, I became ill with bronchial catarrh and asthma, attended by spasms of the heart, and for two months and a, half was under medical treatment.

I send this testimony with a heart overflowing with thankfulness to God for the many blessings received, and in gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, through whose book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," we gain a demonstrable understanding of Life, Truth, and Love.

With a desire to help others, I wish to tell how beautifully the power of divine Truth was demonstrated through Christian Science at the birth of my baby. I had been studying Science and Health only a short time, but through a knowledge of the truth and the loving help of friends I was free from the ills which are usually manifested prior to a birth, and the birth itself was almost painless.
