Testimonies of Healing

I send this testimony with a heart overflowing with thankfulness to God for the many blessings received, and in gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, through whose book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," we gain a demonstrable understanding of Life, Truth, and Love.

I have long felt that I should tell what Christian Science has done for me. For years I had suffered from stomach trouble at different times, but a few years ago, while visiting a daughter in Washington, D.

With a desire to help others, I wish to tell how beautifully the power of divine Truth was demonstrated through Christian Science at the birth of my baby. I had been studying Science and Health only a short time, but through a knowledge of the truth and the loving help of friends I was free from the ills which are usually manifested prior to a birth, and the birth itself was almost painless.

I can no longer delay acknowledging the great help Christian Science proved to be at the birth of our little boy. On two previous occasions, before I had heard of Christian Science, I depended entirely on medical aid, and an anesthetic had to be administered.

Gratefully I can thank God for a satisfying proof of His ever-presence. On Oct.

The three years during which I have been interested in Christian Science have been the happiest of my life. I realize how much I have to be thankful for when I think of my condition as I lay on what would undoubtedly have been my death-bed if it had not been for the truth that makes free.

I have been so abundantly blessed since taking up the study of Christian Science that I desire to share some of this good with others. Words cannot express my gratitude, but I would like to relate a few of the experiences that have proven to us so satisfyingly the healing power of Truth.

Over five years ago I turned to Christian Science for the physical healing alone, as I never attended church or read the Bible. I had an abnormal abdominal growth which caused me years of suffering and constant pain, and which according to medical science could only be removed by an operation; but to this I would not consent.

A little over two years ago I had become literally mired in materialism. As a natural result, I had troubles without end, and the doctor was never absent for long from our house.
