Testimonies of Healing

Christian Science came to me when all hope had fled. Some one has said that "at some time in each human life there comes a day of crucifixion," and that time surely had come to me.

It is with a grateful heart that I tell of the many blessings which my family and myself have experienced through Christian Science. I was nerve-racked for sixteen years, the trouble at times reaching an acute stage.

I am deeply grateful to God, also to our Leader, for the many blessings which have come to me from the unfoldment of truth in my consciousness through the study of Christian Science. I was in bondage to sickness and pain for many years.

When I first came into Christian Science I had not one spark of hope for my future, having been a sufferer for over eight years, and like many others I took up Christian Science as a last resort. When I was fifteen years old I met with an accident while playing football, and injured my spine.

I have too long neglected an acknowledgment of the healing which I received through Christian Science, physically, morally, and spiritually. Some years ago I was healed, in one week's treatment, of a very severe head trouble, also of ailments of many years' standing.

I am very thankful to God for Christian Science. About six years ago I went into a public library in London to read, and came across a copy of The Christian Science Journal.

From a heart overflowing with gratitude to God for Christian Science, I give my testimony. I was healed of an abnormal growth after having been given up by a physician who could not even promise me any relief from an operation.

My heart is so full of gratitude for all the blessings Christian Science has brought to me, that I feel it is time I offered my testimony. Christian Science has answered for me all the questions I have been asking about God and His creation ever since I was a child, and has given me an understanding of Him which has grounded my faith upon the rock of Truth, firm and unshaken in storm or strife.

When I came into Christian Science, over seven years ago, I was suffering with what several physicians told me was an incurable disease. I then turned to Christian Science, and with two weeks' absent treatment I was healed.

In the spring of 1911 I was not only lying in a darkened room, but to me the great truth of man's spiritual being was wholly obscured. Today the curtains are lifted, and the light of Truth is shining in, for I am perfectly healed physically, and have attained that knowledge which nothing can take from me! For ten years I had been ill to a greater or less extent, and during this time had undergone two major operations and was treated by fourteen doctors (not including several eye specialists), but to no avail.
