Testimonies of Healing

It is with the deepest gratitude that I offer my testimony respecting what Christian Science has done for me. It has healed me in sickness, it has brought light in the darkness of doubt and despair, it has solved financial problems for me, it has given me a clearer mental vision, and has taught me to be more charitable.

It is with deepest gratitude that I express the benefits I have received from the knowledge gained through the study of Christian Science. My whole thought has been changed from despair to joy; my heaven is in the present hour, for now I feel Love's mighty power.

I am truly grateful for Christian Science. I was healed of eye trouble, and gave up the wearing of glasses, through reading Science and Health for eight months.

It is with the deepest gratitude that I write to tell a little of what Christian Science has done for me. Over two years ago my little boy was born, and at the time of his birth I had Christian Science treatment.

When Christian Science found me I was a dissatisfied woman, seeing evil everywhere and laboring under a sense of fear and pride, but in the five years since I became acquainted with Christian Science I have become a very different woman, a better woman, although I realize that there is much yet for me to learn, and many things that I must stop doing; but I also know that I am ascending the steps leading to harmonious being, and I am confident that the higher steps will be reached. The most important feature to me is that I am enabled to grow steadily in the recognition of God's wondrous creation, and that Christian Science is leading me gradually out of the material and up to the spiritual.

Having been helped so much by reading the testimonials in the periodicals, and being grateful for what Christian Science has done for me, I hope that this testimony may help some one else. In October, 1909, I was stricken by something that the best of doctors could not diagnose, but I was powerless to move any part of my body except my head.

I am glad to state that Mr. Grover has continued to improve and is now able to walk without a cane.

I have many times wished to write my experience since I came into Christian Science, and I can no longer refrain from expressing my gratitude for the blessings I have received through this teaching. I hope that these few words will be useful to others, who may be in need as I was, and that they may be led to the one true and living God and His Christ.

Twenty years ago, by a strange providence, I came into possession of a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.

During the twenty-three years that I have appreciatively read The Christian Science Journal, I have not written for it any of my many demonstrations of the facts of being, but now that the demonstration of peace within myself has been consummated, I want to tell it, knowing that my experience has not been unique, and with the hope that it may help some other girl. Ten years ago, when just out of college, and with all a college girl's ambition, I found the world very different from my expectations.
