It is with a heart full of gratitude that I herewith testify to the rich blessings which have come to me through Christian Science. I had suffered with a severe abdominal complaint for about twenty-three years. Although I had several physicians successively attend me after the disease first manifested itself, my condition gradually grew to be such that I was hardly able to see to my household duties, and later on a double hernia was added. All human help had failed, and the opinion of the physicians was that I could be saved only by a dangerous operation, which might or might not prove successful.
In my need an acquaintance advised me to turn to Christian Science. I confess that I believed a cure of my trouble by such means to be out of the question, but I was to be set right. I had no sooner called on a Christian Science practitioner at Hannover, than my condition began to improve slowly but steadily, the healing process extending first to the abdominal complaint, and later on to the hernia. It being impossible for me to go to the practitioner regularly, on account of business, I received absent treatment for the most part. Now the trouble is overcome, and I am in good health as formerly. I thank God, and am grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for this wonderful healing. — Wolfenbüttel, Germany.
