Testimonies of Healing

Over nine years ago there came into my life a light which has never been extinguished. It was the light of hope, and it came through a dear uncle who had been healed in Christian Science.

For nine years I was an invalid, suffering from an intestinal disorder and many complications. We were residing in Kansas City at the time, and in 1896 I had a friend who was healed of the same disease by Christian Science treatment; she was most enthusiastic over it, and insisted upon my giving it a trial.

Each day I feel more grateful for the blessings God bestows upon me through Christian Science. About three years ago I became interested in Christian Science through friends who had been healed.

My attention was drawn to Christian Science through the wonderful healing of dear relatives. An aunt was healed by it of a spinal disease of eight years' standing, although a specialist had told her that it was a very severe case and beyond cure.

I deem it a duty to add my testimony to those of the many thousands who have been healed from suffering and disease by Christian Science. In the summer of 1906 I was taken with symptoms which indicated a serious affection of the lungs.

The above testimony of my wife is true in every respect, and I must add that I also have experienced great relief from nervous and bowel trouble since we took up Christian Science, for all of which I am sincerely thankful. G.

It is with a feeling of intense gratitude that I give this testimony to prove the healing power of Truth. I was a great sufferer for over three years, on account of a fall down some steps which hurt my spine and supposedly shattered the whole nervous system.

About three years ago a dear friend called on me and related her healing through Christian Science of appendicitis, although the physicians had told her that nothing but an operation would give relief and restore health. I then knew absolutely nothing of Christian Science, but had been in very poor health for a number of years, suffering from and being at that time treated for what two reliable physicians had diagnosed as an abnormal growth.

After suffering for years with asthma, hay-fever, and catarrh, supposedly inherited, I was healed through Christian Science. Three years have passed and I have had no return of it.

It is with deep thankfulness that I write this testimony. For twenty years I have been a trained nurse, and when I went to Christian Science for help I did not believe it would heal me, but I went to please my daughter, as for a number of years my health had been failing.
