Testimonies of Healing

It is six years since I took up the study of Christian Science for the healing. At the time I was extremely nervous, suffered from severe stomach trouble, from kidney disease which was said to be tubercular, and also from dreadful headaches which (owing to the injury of a nerve during a very critical operation) the doctors said would terminate in insanity.

From November, 1909, until April, 1910, I suffered from a tubercular disease and was operated upon three times. A professor in Basel whom I consulted, besides our family physician, told me that the disease could be checked only by the removal of several ribs.

Early in January, 1900, I first read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.

In deep gratitude for the benefits received through Christian Science, and hoping to encourage some other poor sufferer, I offer this testimony. I had suffered for some time with a serious kidney disease, for which the attending doctor prescribed a very powerful drug.

For some time it has been my desire to give my written testimony regarding a remarkable healing which was brought about by Christian Science treatment. Over two years ago, after I had indifferently studied and followed Christian Science, I came down with poisoning in my left foot.

TWO and a half years ago, I was entirely helpless. A correction was made in the November 1911 Journal : "In the testimony of Harry Crowther, Worcester, Mass.

Over eight years ago I was led into Christian Science through the healing of my little daughter, then about three and a half years old, from so-called tubercular disease. After two severe operations had been performed, I was told that there was very little hope of her ever getting well again.

Though I am not a Christian Scientist, I wish to express my gratitude for the healing of our little boy, two years old, through Christian Science treatment. In June, 1910, the child contracted whooping-cough, and while suffering from this had a severe attack of acute lung trouble.

The gratitude I feel for Christian Science can never be expressed in words, but I give my testimony with the hope that it may reach some one who is in need of this healing truth. For eight years before I found Christian Science I was a sufferer, not from one disease only, but many.

I Should like to tell a little of what Christian Science has done for me, as I have received a great deal of help from the testimonies in the periodicals. In May, 1900, I received my first treatment in Christian Science.
