Testimonies of Healing
Christian Science soon causes us to exclaim with the Psalmist, "Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless his holy name. " I could not enumerate the many blessings which Christian Science has brought to our home in the last six years.
For twenty-five years I had been ailing, growing worse each year. I employed several physicians, hoping to be cured, but found no help, and finally had to undergo two operations.
I have received so much benefit from Christian Science, both spiritually and physically, that I would like to express my gratitude to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and to all those who have so kindly and lovingly helped me in Christian Science.
We learn in Christian Science that loving is giving, and we should appreciate the blessed privilege of giving out to others the reason for the hope that is in us. It is with the deepest gratitude that I offer the following testimony, trusting it may inspire faith and strengthen hope in some dear heart on the journey "from sense to Soul" (Science and Health, p.
I accepted Christian Science through my physical healing, which to me was such a wonderful thing that I send an account of it for publication, hoping it may benefit some one else. A little more than four years ago a friend induced me to go and talk with a Christian Science practitioner. I had not known good health for more than ten years, and in that time I do not think three months ever passed without a more or less serious illness.
Something over two years ago I attended my first Christian Science service. This was in The Mother Church in Boston.

Still I feared I was not fit for that city of purity and light, and I often wondered how death could possibly make me ready for it: in fact.
Many blessings have come to me through Christian Science,— the greatest and most comforting of all being a restored faith in God, in Christ, and in the Bible. It is so good to have something substantial to lean upon, to know that nothing is willed or fated but the good, and that every evil thing can be forestalled and averted if we only have enough of the Christ-spirit, coupled with sufficient understanding to drive out the error and bring into manifestation that harmony which God established everywhere before the world began.
