Testimonies of Healing

Christian Science has brought great joy to my life. I have had many healings that were clearly the result of prayer.

Christian Science came to my attention as the result of a deep longing to bring more good into my life. I also wanted to be free from a lifestyle that included social drinking and shallow relationships.

I'm so glad to share a recent healing. This evidence of the power of prayer and trust in God's care came about, in part, because of the many wonderful testimonies shared in the Christian Science periodicals.

I have been a student of Christian Science for many years, and think the time is long overdue to submit a testimony. Recently, whilst on holiday, I received a telephone call to say that my house had been ransacked.

Christian Science came into our family when a relative was healed after doctors gave up the case as terminal. Over the years, we have had numerous healings, including those of colds, flu, childhood diseases, tonsillitis, bee stings, animal bites, and sprains.

Recently I had a physical healing that also taught me a lesson about how to pray for church. At the time I had been getting quite concerned about developments in both my own branch church and The Mother Church.

I had always prided myself on my super-perfect hearing. I could, as the saying goes, "hear a pin drop in the next country" even after I became a senior citizen.

One summer while in college, I was hired to assist on an archaeological dig. The crew members and I were outdoors constantly, working at times in heavy undergrowth.

It is with much gratitude that I share two of my many healings in Christian Science. One day I slipped on a muddy creek bank and hit my spine on a large rock.

I attribute my happy and healthy childhood to the fact that I regularly attended a Christian Science Sunday School and had the support of my parents, who were active Christian Scientists. It was only natural for me to want to give my children Christian Science as my mother did for her children.
