Testimonies of Healing

One day in July 1983 I was driving to the north of London to fulfill a duty at a Christian Science nursing facility. For about four years I had volunteered there —work that involved, among other things, reading the Bible Lesson outlined in the Christian Science Quarterly to the guests and patients.

About fifteen years after I graduated from high school I decided to further my education. So when my twin daughters entered first grade, I began attending college.

One time the inspiration gained from a simple statement of Truth was able to turn around completely a fatal medical prediction. I was seventeen years old at the time, a junior in high school.

As a lifelong Christian Scientist, I have seen many healings through spiritually scientific prayer. I am grateful for the glimpses I have had of the allness of God.

Christian Science came to light for me through an experience with our daughter, who was then about six years old. She was very ill with continuous coughing spells.

Although I learned about Christian Science as a teen-ager, and loved its teachings, I later drifted away from them. None of my friends lived by what seemed to me then to be such strict standards.

I am truly abounding with thanksgiving to God for Christian Science. It is provable, practical, and it heals! My husband and I were in an automobile collision.

My first healing in Christian Science was an outstanding one for our family. Right after I had started first grade I became ill.
