Testimonies of Healing
Picture a piece of sheet music, slightly worn, slightly yellowed with age. It had been suggested to a young musician that she play the music on her piano and sing the words.
It has been over forty-five years since I last had a testimony in the Christian Science periodicals. It told of how my husband and I were cared for through the Depression.
It has been many years since my first testimony was published. I feel impelled once again to express my gratitude for the guidance and blessings I've received through the study of Christian Science.
My family was at a camp for Christian Scientists a few summers ago. One day during a game of volleyball I ran after the ball to keep it from going into the water.
Giving gratitude to God for His tender care is very much a part of each day for me. However, putting this thank-you into writing has been postponed far too long! "Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law" ( Ps. 119:18 ).
"Let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy" ( Ps. 5:11 ).
The summer following my third year of college, I auditioned for and was hired by a professional stock theater. I prepared prayerfully for this job by studying the definition of God found in the Glossary of Science and Health by Mrs.
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding" ( Prov. 3:5 ).
Many wonderful healings have occurred in my life since I began my study of Christian Science. I particularly want to share one that has been very special to me.
