Testimonies of Healing
I can recall when I didn't think I would ever really live the life of a Christian Scientist. About five years ago it seemed I was wrapped up in many things that one would consider immoral—including lying, fighting, a general disregard for law, smoking marijuana, and drinking.

How grateful I am that even though my parents weren't Scientists, I was able to attend a Christian Science Sunday School until I was sixteen. Many years later, although I had not stayed with Science in the meantime, the basic truths of God I had learned in the Sunday School led me to ask a Christian Science practitioner for help in healing a seasonal and lifelong ear and throat condition.

One day, when I was playing in school, I accidentally got hit twice on the head. That day when I went home I didn't feel very well.
In recent years my study of Christian Science has focused on learning to trust God with the care of our family. I was raised in Christian Science and subsequently married a fellow student of Science.
A few years ago in September, shortly after I had resumed my position as music teacher at our school, I was participating one day with a class of third graders in a movement activity. Suddenly I tripped and landed heavily on the hard concrete floor of my classroom.
In 1973 my husband and I were introduced to Christian Science. We had purchased carpeting for our house, and the carpetlayer turned out to be one of the Readers in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, a few miles from where we lived.
It has been much too long since I last expressed my gratitude in the periodicals for the many blessings Christian Science has brought forth in my life. They are more than I can give account of in this testimony.
Many wonderful changes have occurred in my life since I was introduced to Christian Science. A great sense of gratitude motivates me to report these healings.
