Testimonies of Healing

I have had many blessings as a result of my faith in and devotion to the teachings of Mary Baker Eddy, as they are set down in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. In more than fifty years I have had healings of diseases, the overcoming of inharmonies, and I have received supply and protection through an understanding of our Father-Mother God, as taught to mankind by Christ Jesus.

The greatest gift I have ever received is that of being raised in Christian Science. I have found this Science offers the most effective means for healing sickness and comforting distress.

For many years of our marriage, my husband had a severe drinking problem. Because of this, in our household harmony seemed the exception, and discord the rule.

Soon after I became a parent I was stricken with polio. Because of the nature of the illness, we were obedient to the laws of the land, and a physician watched the case daily.

I am grateful to have been brought up by parents who were Christian Scientists. One of the earliest healings I remember occurred when I was about six.

Until Christian Science came into my life, I lived in constant fear. Although I had a husband and children, my life seemed meaningless, without reason or purpose.

When our family was traveling in India, we visited a pagan temple famous for its sculpture. While climbing it I fell, badly injuring my hip.

Many years ago, before I became a Christian Scientist, I incurred a severe head wound in an auto accident. While I was waiting for an ambulance, a student of Science knelt by my side and whispered, "God is with you.
