Testimonies of Healing

A woman I know took me to a service in a Church of Christ, Scientist. I was deeply impressed.

I was raised in a family who are Christian Scientists, and I attended a Christian Science Sunday School. Although I grew up during the 1930's when lack of employment and income were common complaints, all our needs were met.

Every Christian Scientist is grateful for the blessings received through studying Christian Science. From childhood I had always believed in God but had only learned to pray routinely.

My first Christian Science healing came through reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

During my last year in college I received my greatest gift—an introduction to Christian Science by the young man who was to become my husband. Although at the time I was a youth worker in an orthodox church, I began to attend services in the Church of Christ, Scientist, with him.

Healing in Christian Science is so complete when it comes, the whole episode is likely to be forgotten. This is because the healing results from the operation of divine Mind, God.

I wish to share an instantaneous healing that came about from understanding, in some degree, the allness of God and man's individual perfect relationship to Him as His offspring. My eldest son was in a land-mine explosion.

Shortly after marriage it seemed wise to my husband and me, as Christian Scientists, to take advantage early of the provision in the Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy and have Christian Science class instruction.

While at the university, I was introduced to Christian Science by a girl who was later to become my wife. Science and Health by Mrs.

I have had many healings through Christian Science and have given testimony to them at the Wednesday evening meetings in our branch Church of Christ, Scientist. Now I think I should tell in writing about my first two demonstrations of God's healing power, and how I happened to be introduced to this Christian system of healing through prayer.
