Testimonies of Healing

Christian Science, for me, is the most beautiful thing in the world, because it has fulfilled my longing to experience something heavenly. How did I come to this wonderful, practical religion? It was through God's goodness and guidance.

The Journal of November 1956 included a testimony expressing my gratitude for a healing in Christian Science. This took place on my first visit to a practitioner after about four years of invalidism.

For many years I have been a student of Christian Science and have enjoyed and have been helped by reading the testimonies in the periodicals. I became interested in Christian Science on witnessing the healing of deafness in a close friend of the family.

What a blessed privilege it is to be a student of Christian Science! Our family has had many healings in Science, and my own healings have been many and varied. When I was six years old, I had my first healing.

Many years ago my mother handed me a book, with these words, "Here, this is something that will help you. " The book was Science and Health by Mrs.

I did not have the opportunity to attend a Christian Science Sunday School much after I reached the age of twelve. As I grew up I gradually drifted away from Christian Science.

One of my first recognizable healings as a relatively new student in Christian Science was the glorious freedom from migraine headaches. And the healing was instantaneous.

In my early twenties I was healed in Christian Science of two so-called incurable diseases, including stomach trouble I had had from childhood. My parents spared no expense in securing the best medical treatment for me, but I steadily grew worse.

Our home was divided in regard to Christian Science. My mother had been reared in Science but for some years my father was opposed to it.
