Testimonies of Healing

I submit this testimony in thanks to God for the Christ shown to us by Jesus and in the teachings of Christian Science. These teachings mean everything to me and are at the core of my life.

Science and Health was given to the world over one hundred years ago by Mrs. Eddy.

Christian Science has been my religion and my only medicine for many years. When I was a small child, my father, whom I loved dearly, disappeared very suddenly, never to return.

I was in deep human despair when a dear friend brought Christian Science to me several years ago. At that time the harmony within our family had been disturbed through serious problems.

For five generations members of our family have witnessed and experienced many healings in Christian Science. My grandmother was healed completely when in the final stages of what was medically diagnosed as cancer of the stomach.

Six years ago I was teaching in a suburban junior high school of about thirteen hundred students. To my dismay I was unsatisfied with my job, my students, the world, and myself.

A report-back meeting given by a group of young people who attended a Christian Science International Youth Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts, prompts me to write this testimony. The freshness, spontaneity, understanding, and sincerity shown by these students has made me aware of the immense debt of gratitude I owe for all the good being brought to light through the study of this Science.

At an early age I attended a Christian Science Sunday School. I saw my aunt, with whom I was then living, completely healed through Christian Science treatment of severe rheumatism.

It is my deep desire to share healings through complete and radical reliance on the teachings of Christian Science. There has been no medical aid given at any time.

There were many factors which drew my husband and me to Christian Science. One was our daughter's early interest in this Science.
