Testimonies of Healing

I have had many healings solely through the application of Christian Science, including those of a broken arm and a crippling condition when a small child. In later years I passed rigid physical examinations in qualifying for service in submarines during wartime.

My dad had no use for what he supposed Christian Science to be, and he argued endlessly with my grandfather. This grandfather had found Christian Science some years before, at a time of extremity in his own life, when he had failed to recover from the effects of a severe physical beating.

While my husband and I were vacationing, I walked up some wooden steps from our beach. Unknown to us, yellow jackets had built a nest beneath the steps, and my footsteps disturbed the nest.

Although I had had a deep trust in God since my youth, I longed for a religion that would fully satisfy me. Many years ago I received a copy of The Herald of Christian Science with the words: "This is something for you.

I am one of the many who can bear witness to the healing power of Christian Science as a result of studying Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. During the Second World War, shortly before leaving for a new and temporary home far from my home state, I was loaned a copy of Science and Health.
