Testimonies of Healing

Six years ago I was teaching in a suburban junior high school of about thirteen hundred students. To my dismay I was unsatisfied with my job, my students, the world, and myself.

A report-back meeting given by a group of young people who attended a Christian Science International Youth Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts, prompts me to write this testimony. The freshness, spontaneity, understanding, and sincerity shown by these students has made me aware of the immense debt of gratitude I owe for all the good being brought to light through the study of this Science.

At an early age I attended a Christian Science Sunday School. I saw my aunt, with whom I was then living, completely healed through Christian Science treatment of severe rheumatism.

It is my deep desire to share healings through complete and radical reliance on the teachings of Christian Science. There has been no medical aid given at any time.

There were many factors which drew my husband and me to Christian Science. One was our daughter's early interest in this Science.

My first healing in Christian Science came through reading Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. From earliest childhood I had suffered from anemia.

With a humble heart I want to express my gratitude for Christian Science, this great religion that makes the allness and omnipotence of God so real to us and makes divine Love comprehensible to humanity. Christian Science came into my life in 1936, and I had the readiness to accept it.

I would like to express gratitude for the many healings received through my study and application of Christian Science. I had a testimony published in the Journal in August 1945 and have had many healings since then.

After an early childhood experience with organized religion I dropped all connection with it. It held no interest or appeal for me.

My last testimony appeared in the Christian Science Sentinel of August 11, 1956. The years following have been filled with many blessings and healings.
