Testimonies of Healing

My first healing in Christian Science came through reading Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. From earliest childhood I had suffered from anemia.

With a humble heart I want to express my gratitude for Christian Science, this great religion that makes the allness and omnipotence of God so real to us and makes divine Love comprehensible to humanity. Christian Science came into my life in 1936, and I had the readiness to accept it.

I would like to express gratitude for the many healings received through my study and application of Christian Science. I had a testimony published in the Journal in August 1945 and have had many healings since then.

After an early childhood experience with organized religion I dropped all connection with it. It held no interest or appeal for me.

My last testimony appeared in the Christian Science Sentinel of August 11, 1956. The years following have been filled with many blessings and healings.

For nearly forty years I tried to find the truth by studying theology, philosophy, and metaphysics. But in 1973, while visiting a Church of Christ, Scientist, for the first time, my eyes were opened.

As my last testimony appeared in the Journal of April 1958 I feel another is due. I am grateful for continued progress in the understanding and demonstration of Christian Science.

In a previous testimony published in the Sentinel in 1934 I mentioned only healings of physical diseases, but in this testimony I want to share some other ways in which Christian Science has helped me. My first healing in Christian Science convinced me that I had found what I had long been seeking, namely, an understanding of God.
