Testimonies of Healing
I'm very grateful for the one who introduced me to Christian Science. In over thirty years' study of this Science, I have seen and had many proofs of its healing power.
Our entire family became interested in Christian Science when a financial problem of my father's was solved through the prayers of a Christian Science practitioner. I was invited to visit a Church of Christ, Scientist, with the family.
At the age of twelve I was afflicted with worms, a condition no medical doctor could cure. Many medicines were prescribed for me, but to no avail.
I would like to express my gratitude for the many blessings I have received through the study and application of Christian Science over a period of about thirty-eight years. During this period I have experienced many physical healings; my human needs have been met; and I have been guided and protected.
More than thirty-five years ago I had been suffering intensely for a whole year but had not consulted a doctor. My right shoulder blade was growing upward, was approximately four inches higher than the other and very painful.
Christian Science came to me when, as a girl in college, I was earnestly praying for an understanding of God which would fit the new ideas I was learning from my professors. A co-ed shared her room with me when winter conditions made it impossible for me to drive home.
The belief of so-called material laws regarding age does not apply to man reflecting God. We found this out when we bought our last house a few years ago.
Many years ago I learned about Christian Science through a neighbor who was not a Scientist. She was in charge of a rural lending library which had Christian Science literature, including some of Mrs.
At one time severe eruptions appeared on my face. Even casual acquaintances suggested material remedies.
Since I first began the study of Christian Science seven years ago, I have become increasingly aware of what a precious gift it is. Two years ago I collapsed into unconsciousness and momentarily ceased breathing.
