Testimonies of Healing

The teachings of Christian Science first came to my attention when through the application of this Science my mother was healed of a difficulty she had been suffering from for many years. The permanency of her healing was proved because, to the time of her passing thirty-three years later, she remained free of the illness.

In April, 1972, I attended a testimony meeting in a Church of Christ, Scientist, for the first time. A few days before, I had bought the textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mrs.

When a friend spoke to me of Christian Science for the first time, I was confined to bed following a major abdominal operation and was in almost continuous pain. I had never heard of this religion.

Although I had been raised in Christian Science, was a member of The Mother Church, and had been a branch church member, after my marriage I started to drift away from Christian Science. I resigned from the branch church and eventually got completely away from the practice and study of Science.

When my brother was called into the Army during the Second World War, my parents turned to Christian Science. Science gave them the comfort and peace they sought, and my brother returned home at the end of the war.

Many years ago my wife became interested in Christian Science. At that time I found fatuous the concept of healing through knowing the nothingness of matter and the allness of God, good.

Following her own healing in Christian Science a sister introduced this Science to us and gave us copies of The Herald of Christian Science (French Edition). We were favorably impressed with their contents, and they gave us a glimpse of the truth we were diligently seeking.

The Herald of Christian Science was my first introduction to this religion, which I came to know and love in 1916. It introduced me wonderfully to this healing religion and accompanies me to the present day.

It is my sincere desire that this testimony will reach someone who wonders if Christian Science will help him. That this religion can correct and heal every discordant aspect of our lives, I have ample proof.

I'm very grateful for the one who introduced me to Christian Science. In over thirty years' study of this Science, I have seen and had many proofs of its healing power.
