
Testimonies of Healing
I started to study Christian Science in 1965, after a copy of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, was given my daughter.
So much good has poured into my life since my last testimony was printed in 1964 that I am compelled to express my gratitude again. Soon after our first child was born, I had a serious hemorrhage that was healed in one treatment with the help of a Christian Science practitioner.
Some years ago one of our sons, just out of high school, was offered an appointment to the United States Naval Academy. His high school average reflected doubt that he could pass the academy entrance examinations without the help of a preparatory course, so we decided on a prep school and made arrangements for his enrollment.
Fifty years ago Christian Science came to me as an answer to prayer. When I was a young woman, I began to suffer with facial paralysis.
I feel deep gratitude for Christian Science. Its blessings have been available to me all my life.
While I was in my teens, my father passed on a few days after an accident. After this, I was terrified of being alone, even in the daytime.

I attended Christian Science Sunday School in England from the age of three, and was many times healed of diseases commonly attributed to childhood, of sprained ankles and other troubles. When I was eighteen, I joined The Mother Church, shortly before enlisting in the service during World War II.

While I was in high school, I was invited by one of the teachers to attend a Sunday School class in a Christian Science church. I had been searching for several years for a logical explanation of the meaning of life and the events recorded in the Bible.
