Testimonies of Healing
I have experienced an awakening to a healthy, active life through Christian Science after years of severe bodily suffering. Before I knew this healing religion, as a young married woman I found myself in an almost hopeless state of health.
My first testimony was published in the Christian Science Sentinel in 1943. Since then my study and understanding of Christian Science has helped me bring up a family, and I have been upheld and strengthened through many experiences.
For nearly forty years Christian Science has been my way of life. It has lifted me out of a limited and diffident way of thinking into the sunlight of the truth that man is God's reflection, and as such can lack nothing.
Christian Science has met my every need from my earliest childhood. Convincing evidences of its power include healing of an eye infection, what appeared to be a dislocated hip, and numerous healings of injuries, including an instantaneous overcoming of pain, swelling, and discoloration following a head and eye injury during a soccer game.
I became acquainted with Christian Science in 1921 through the healing of a member of my family. Upon looking into this religion I knew immediately that I had found the "pearl of great price" ( Matt.

Christian Science came into my life when I was a teen-ager. I was going from one Sunday School to another, looking for a religion that would satisfy me but finding none.
Christian Science healed me even though I knew very little of its teachings. I was faced with a choice between seeking help through material means or complete reliance on God.
Christian Science came into my life just before the outbreak of the First World War. I had been brought up in a religion that seemed to give little comfort, and I can remember longing to find a God of love to whom I could turn in times of trouble and be sure of His help.
Christian Science has been my only physician since my late teens. My mother's healing, after a doctor said he could do nothing more for her, brought Christian Science into our home.
