I am very grateful for the many healings my family and I have had during past years as a result of relying solely on the teachings of Christian Science. Some of these healings were related in a testimony published in the Journal in January, 1966.
One day I fell and broke my ankle. As a result my foot was so swollen that I could not walk and was confined to bed. That evening while my husband was reading aloud the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, I fell asleep. Suddenly I was awakened by a loud noise, and my ankle was set.
I was serving as Second Reader in our branch church. On Sunday morning, although there was still some discomfort, I was able to read from the desk, knowing God is Love and His care is ever with us. Since He fills all space, there is nothing to fear.
