No Separation from Omnipresent Good

From the October 1974 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Christian Science can show how to prove the spiritual truth that you are never separated from good, and that you're always separate from all that seems to be bad. This proving takes spirituality and humility, but your cultivation of these will enable you to start demonstrating in your own life that good is present and whatever would negate good is always absent, always nothing. The primary need, the starting point for this proving, is the realization that man, God's spiritual idea, is never anywhere that divine good is not. "Existence, separate from divinity, Science explains as impossible," Science and Health, p. 522; Mrs. Eddy says. Existence inseparable from God is not only possible for us to find but is the only reality of our being.

The claim that man and good exist in material space is the would-be separator of us from well-being. Part of the belief of illness is the claim that health is in another place, away from us—that others have it but we're separated from it. But the pure spiritual consciousness of Soul is what constitutes true health, and this consciousness is here, because Soul is. Soul and its consciousness are not excluded by matter, but they totally exclude matter. Soul's idea and action are actual where matter—and physical malfunctioning—appear to be.

Material sense testifies to the existence of material objects, some of which it names mortals. Spiritual sense confirms the existence of spiritual ideas only, all inseparable from Spirit. Each idea is perfect and functions under the aegis of Spirit.
