Testimonies of Healing

My mother and father came into Christian Science during the Depression, when I was about six years old. I remember many trials and hard times while growing up, but all problems were faced and mastered through the application of the teachings of Christian Science and complete reliance on God.

About fourteen years ago I experienced an outstanding healing through the application of Christian Science. I had attended Sunday School in a Church of Christ, Scientist, and several members of my family were students of Science, but I just did not accept its teachings.

There is no joy on earth to equal the deep sense of knowing God's dear presence and protecting care. When I first started studying the textbook of Christian Science, Science and Health by Mrs.

Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and the Christian Science Quarterly have been familiar to me since my mother taught me to study the Bible Lesson daily and to read The Herald of Christian Science in the German language.

It was in Switzerland that I first heard of Christian Science, this applicable, healing religion that is so helpful in having a full, rich life. A skin disease of many years' standing was immediately healed when I first studied the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs.

At the age of twelve I suffered with abscessed teeth. I was taken to a doctor, who said the poison from these teeth had entered the system and there was nothing he could do.

In 1945, I was healed of asthma through Christian Science. I had contracted it while working surrounded with bauxite dust used in the making of aluminum.

At that time my mother, who had never heard anything of this religion, was given the address of a Christian Science practitioner in the distant city of Danzig, and my instantaneous healing resulted from her request for treatment through prayer.
