Testimonies of Healing

"My cup runneth over" ( Ps. 23:5 ) with gratitude for the blessings that have been bestowed on my family and me during the past few years because of our wholehearted reliance on God.

I wish to express gratitude for a healing I had of pneumonia. To the great amazement of my husband, who is an orthopedic surgeon, this healing was accomplished entirely through Christian Science "without so much as an aspirin tablet," as he expressed it.

All the good that I have ever experienced I owe to my understanding of God, gained through the study of Christian Science. I can never express the gratitude I feel for Mrs.

The understanding of what Christian Science really is came to me at a time of mental torment due to discordant relationships. In humility I had reached the point where I was praying, "Please, God, show me the right thing to do," and when a dear one spoke to me of the fact that God is the one Mind, one Soul, one Spirit, I saw at once that this is so.

Christian Science came to our home when I was a young child. My mother had been given up by a heart specialist.

Over forty years ago a severe attack of pneumonia kept me from work for six weeks and left me in a weakened condition which did not yield to several months of medical care. I then began to attend the services in a Church of Christ, Scientist, and soon regained normal health and strength.

When we were first married over forty years ago, my wife began the study of Christian Science and later joined a branch church. These steps were resisted by me because of our orthodox church association and because I felt that another influence was entering our happy married life.

I have had many beautiful healings in the thirty-three years in which I have been a student of Christian Science, but none has caused more gratitude than one I had in recent years, even though this was a slow healing. I was mowing the lawn when the mower hit a bed of what are known in this locality as fire ants.

Christian Science was presented to me more than forty years ago, and I am sincerely grateful for the many benefits and healings I have experienced since then. When our daughter was quite young, I was awakened one night by her coughing, which went on and on.

I often stop to express my gratitude silently for having been brought up by two devoted Christian Scientists. I am well aware that the priceless gift which my mother and father have given to me is an introduction to this wonderful Science.
