Testimonies of Healing
It wasn't until after I became a student of Christian Science that I realized why I was instantaneously healed of a painful nervous condition. I was in the office when this attack came on, and I didn't know where to turn.
When a volcano in the eastern mountains of Bali, Indonesia, erupted about two years ago, I was staying with my daughter in a remote house about two thousand feet up the mountain. We could see the rocks thrown out of the crater, and soon rivers of treacly black mud and torrents of very hot water rushed down, followed by lava which destroyed everything in its path.
I discovered that God does answer prayer, for Christian Science came into my experience as a result of prayer. Just a few months after learning of this new way of life, I had an instantaneous healing of grief at the time of my mother's passing and was sustained and given courage.
Jesus caused Nicodemus to wonder when he said ( John 3:3 ), "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. " Christian Science healing is one manifestation of man's spiritual rebirth.
I have known of Christian Science since my childhood. A member of my immediate family was interested in the religion, but it was not until I was on my own, pursuing a career, a highly competitive profession in the arts, that I felt the need of an inner strength.
God is my Physician, and the administering of spiritual truths has been my sole remedy for the healing of every ailment and the solution of every problem for many years. I surely can echo Isaiah's words to God ( 26:3 ), "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee.
In 1954 I returned from a short summer trip so sick that I went to bed immediately. The severe abdominal pain I was experiencing grew worse.

The truths and lessons learned through a Christian Science healing remain to bless us always. Some twenty years ago our young daughter tripped over a step, striking her mouth against the tile floor.
Christian Science has blessed me in many ways, and my gratitude is boundless. My religion has given me good health and strength to lead an active life.
