Testimonies of Healing
Eighteen years have elapsed since a testimony of mine appeared in the Journal. Since that time, and even before that date, I myself and members of my family have experienced numerous wonderful healings through the right application of the truth as taught in Christian Science.
When Christian Science came into my life many years ago, I was not in need of physical healing. However, existence seemed to be an enigma upon which popular theories threw no light.
It is with deep gratitude for our religion that I testify to its healing and protecting power. How very much we owe to Mrs.
Words are inadequate to express my sincere and humble gratitude to God for Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, for Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, and for the movement of which she is Leader.
During the past six years or so, Christian Science has completely changed my life. From early childhood I was sickly and anemic.
Since the day I admitted Christian Science into my life as the only healing and saving influence, I have had the opportunity daily to demonstrate its healing and saving power. For this reason I must bear witness to this fact and express gratitude for our Leader, who brought to the world this Science, unveiling the Christ, which is, as well as my personal Saviour, the Saviour of all mankind.
One afternoon, I received a call at the office from the woman who cares for our children while I am away, telling me that one of our sons had been involved in a serious accident in the lobby of our apartment building. She said that a neighbor had called a local physician.
Some years ago it became necessary for me to support my three sons and myself. Since I had not worked for a long time, I accepted a straight typing job.
I am deeply grateful to Christian Science for the many blessings it has brought to me. My greatest blessing is having been reared in it and having the privilege of attending Sunday School.
Blessings of an abundant nature have been mine through the study and application of Christian Science. I attended a Christian Science Sunday School until I was seventeen years of age, at which time I went into the United States Navy.
