Testimonies of Healing
It is a joy to bear witness to the healing efficacy of Christian Science. Jesus said ( John 8:31, 32 ), "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Christian Science was recommended to me when my fourth child was a few days old. I was suffering from extreme physical weakness and self-pity.
From early childhood I had a deep longing to know God. As a young girl I used to wonder if there was anyone on earth who really understood what was true of Him.

I was therefore delighted to receive from Johannesburg an invitation to hear a tape recording of a Tuesday Evening Meeting which had been held in the Extension of The Mother Church at Annual Meeting time and also to see the film entitled "The Mother Church in Action.
Many years ago, before I knew anything of Christian Science, I had a throat condition which had persisted for about four years, and it appeared that I was losing my voice. I had visited several throat specialists, but they could not help me.
When I was a child, I had what was said to be inherited lung trouble, and each winter I went through one or more periods of illness, pronounced frequently pneumonia, often double pneumonia. One such illness which was especially serious occurred soon after my mother and I had begun to study Christian Science, and I was healed through our efforts to prove this religion's healing power.
" A little child shall lead them," we read in Isaiah (11:6) . My introduction to Christian Science came through our two sons' attending Sunday School with some neighboring children.
My parents were Christian Scientists, and I attended a Christian Science Sunday School until I went to boarding school. There I dropped away from Science and ignored it for many years.
