
Testimonies of Healing
A number of years ago, I underwent surgery for a malignant tumor. For about four years I was in good health, and then the symptoms recurred.
Although my mother and I were students of Christian Science and my father acknowledged the healings we experienced through its application, he did not turn to it for help for many years. Then he was faced with the medical diagnosis of cancer.
Since my early teens, Christian Science has supplied the answers to all my problems. It has healed me of many physical ailments, brought me solace in sorrow, been a constant source of comfort and guidance, sweetened all my relationships, strengthened and enriched all my capacities, and increased my opportunities.
I had my first healing in Christian Science over forty-five years ago. At the time I knew almost nothing about Science, having attended only one Wednesday evening testimony meeting a few months before.

The teachings of Christian Science have been a guiding and sustaining influence to me and my family for many years. During my early school years, my eyes, which were badly crossed, were healed through the application of our conviction that all human needs are met when the truth is faithfully applied.
As a child I learned to know the Bible well, and I often read from it. However, no one could answer the questions which arose in my thought about its contents, and so I became more and more convinced that this was a very puzzling book.
At the age of about twelve, after I had attended a Christian Science Sunday School only a few times as a visitor, I was able to heal myself in three hours of the effects of running my hand through a washing machine wringer. Although the hand became swollen and discolored, I was unafraid and remembered that the Sunday School teacher had said that God is Love.
