Testimonies of Healing

When Christian Science was presented to me in the summer of 1941, I ridiculed it because I thought it to be just a fad. However, by the winter of that year I was receptive to it, and as a sponge soaks up water, I absorbed its teachings.

My first healing in Christian Science came over thirty years ago as a result of the clear, spiritual understanding of a practitioner. I myself knew nothing about this religion.

So many times I have thought of the words of the Christian Science practitioner to whom I first went to have help. She said in effect that if I would really study Christian Science, not only my own health but that of my family would improve, that my husband's business and our supply would increase, and that everything in my life would become more beautiful.

Christian Science has been my only medicine for over thirty years and has never failed me. I have relied entirely on this Science, and the understanding of God it has given me has aided me greatly in rearing three boys and meeting the many needs in my own experience.

For the past twenty-six years Christian Science has been my only physician and has healed every physical problem. It has been the only curative means for mental stress and strain and has given me the peace which passes understanding.

About seven years ago while I was engaged in sports, I fell on my head. Those in charge had me taken at once to a hospital in the nearest city.

I have had the blessings of Christian Science since I was a child. From the age of ten I was able to demonstrate the truths of Science through uplifted faith, and my prayers were answered in quick healings.

I should like to express my gratitude to Christian Science for all the wonderful help it has been to me. From earliest childhood I was always encouraged to turn to God for help in solving any problem, and I can truly say that it has never failed.

A true estimate of Mrs. Eddy as the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science and Leader of the movement saved me from materialism into which I was sinking during my career in the Army and later in my college experience.

Some years ago when a physical difficulty was causing me constant discomfort, I worked daily in Christian Science, studying the Bible and the writings of Mrs. Eddy; but there was no apparent improvement.
