Testimonies of Healing

I am grateful that our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, has provided us with this means of giving testimony to the world. Only God can measure my gratitude for Christian Science, and I know He will enable me so to express myself that others will be encouraged and healed through reading of my healings.

My thoughts go out in loving appreciation to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her gift to the world of Science and Health.

In gratitude to God I give this testimony. Many years ago, after an operation in a hospital, I realized that I probably would not recover.

My parents took up the study of Christian Science when I was one year old, as a result of a healing experienced by my father. I started attending Sunday School when I was three, and for this early start in Christian Science I am most grateful.

" Giving does not impoverish us in the service of our Maker, neither does withholding enrich us" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p.

Mrs. Eddy states on page 243 of the textbook, Science and Health, "The divine Love, which made harmless the poisonous viper, which delivered men from the boiling oil, from the fiery furnace, from the jaws of the lion, can heal the sick in every age and triumph over sin and death.

When the statement, "God is Love and God is everywhere," was made to me by a student of Christian Science, I did not know that it would later bring me healing from nervous collapse. After months of spending most of my time crying, I was taken home from the office and ordered by the company doctor to rest for at least six months.

When Christian Science was presented to me, I was very much in need of help. We had left Vienna after the annexation, and I felt so bitter and unhappy that it actually made me ill, so ill that two major operations were performed.

Christian Science has indeed been proved to me to be the pearl of great price, and without it I do not know how we could have reared our six children. They had the great privilege of attending the Sunday School, where the seeds of Truth are sown.

Christian Science came into our home years ago as the result of my healing. At the time we lived in an eastern state, and I was just a young girl.
