Over twenty-seven years ago I accepted Christian Science after witnessing the healing of our baby of curvature of the spine. The family physician had told us that nothing could be done. I knew nothing about Christian Science, but my husband had seen a case of bone disease healed through its application; so when the doctor told us that nothing could be done for our baby to straighten her spine, my husband asked me if I would be willing to try Christian Science. I was willing to try anything that might help; so we asked for Science treatment, which was willingly and lovingly given. The spine was straight within forty-eight hours.
To me this was the most wonderful thing I had ever seen. I wanted so much to know how the work was done that I asked many questions. I was shown how to study the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly with the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I found Science and Health so interesting I could hardly lay it down long enough to do my housework. The daughter who was healed is over twenty-eight years old now and has always had a very fine posture.
Our two children and I have experienced many healings through the study and application of Christian Science. Some of these healings were effected through the help of a practitioner and some through our own application of the truth. We have experienced healings of sick headache, measles, scarlet fever, chicken pox, influenza, leakage of the heart, burns, a very bad cut, colds, whooping cough, and other difficulties. Lost articles have been restored and financial difficulties have been solved through the application of this truth.
