Testimonies of Healing

I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science. I have received unending good and many healings through its teaching.

Christian Science has brought me inexpressible good. It was not for the purpose of gaining a physical healing that I first sought Christian Science, but to be healed of mental depression, the basis of which was, for the most part, the belief that God permitted evil to occur.

With deep gratitude I offer this testimony of the many blessings I have received through the study and application of Christian Science. From the time I was a young girl, I suffered from a weakness which I was supposed to have inherited from my mother.

Christian Science means everything to me. for not only has it saved my life, but it has also filled it with health, harmony, and happiness.

Many years ago I was asked to purchase a copy of ''Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. The blessings which have come to me as the result of my compliance with that request have been beyond what mere words could express.

When a young girl, I attended a piano recital as a guest of a Christian Science practitioner. I was deeply impressed with her sweetness, graciousness, and poise; because of the love she expressed, it was a great joy just to be with her, and it came to me then that this was because she was a student of Christian Science.

Although I attended Protestant Sunday schools as a little child, the teaching I received did not impress me. While I was convinced that Jesus meant us really to follow in his footsteps, I made no practical application of this conviction to my life, and my concept of God was very confused.

Christian Science has meant so much to me that I wish to give a testimony in accordance with St. Paul's admonition, "Glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

I should like to express gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. Nine years ago I was healed of constipation, a difficulty under which I had labored from early childhood, and for which almost every known medical remedy had been tried in vain.

The healing I wish to relate means so much to me that it seems as if I could find no words to express my gratitude. For a great many years an indefinable mental burden lay upon me, and this burden was reflected in my body.
