More than forty years ago I bought the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and began to study it. The first healing I had was of sick headaches, which was accomplished so quickly that it started me thinking. The healing of throat trouble did not come quickly, but after four months of study the trouble had disappeared.
Some years ago I seemed to be desperately ill. I felt the assurance all through the experience that Christian Science was the only way out of this sickness. Days lengthened into weeks and weeks into months, before the difficulty was finally overcome. What a joy it was to know "that God is on the field, although He seems invisible"! I shall never cease to be grateful for the dear friend who stayed with me every night during this experience and for others who helped me.
