Testimonies of Healing

I am sincerely grateful for Christian Science and for all the good it has brought to the world. That it heals, I have had proof after proof: failing eyesight, appendicitis, colds, influenza, fallen arches, periodic headaches, a growth, and many ills of which I do not know the names have been completely overcome when God's omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence have been glimpsed in a measure.

My first healing in Christian Science twenty-six years ago, was of tonsillitis. This form of tonsillitis was very severe; it occurred several times during the year, and I had suffered from it since I was a child.

Christian Science has healed me of many ills, and for twenty years no medicine has passed my lips, nor has any physician prescribed for me. This is reason enough for me to be profoundly grateful; but greater causes for gratitude have been the healings of so-called mental anguish caused by remorse, grief, alcoholic intoxication, the use of tobacco, and other bad habits.

With sincere gratitude I wish to express my deep appreciation of Christian Science and of what it has done and is doing for all mankind. That "man's extremity is God's opportunity" has been proved to me.

I should like to express my gratitude to God for the revelation of Christian Science, as set forth in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. Through the reading of this textbook I was healed of the need of wearing glasses, which I had had to use for eyestrain and for headaches.

Before I became interested in Christian Science I had no interest in any religion. When it was presented to me, poor health and business troubles were making me nervous and miserable, so I was ready and eager to try it.

The publishing of this testimony is in order to express my deep appreciation for Christian Science and for what it has accomplished in the way of reformation in my consciousness; also for all the blessings it has brought to my fellow men. It is given with the desire that my experience may encourage others who are seeking relief from various kinds of human suffering.

I am most grateful for the opportunity to express my appreciation of Christian Science through this far-reaching medium. Having availed myself, for several years, of the privilege of testifying at our Wednesday evening meetings, I can truthfully say that there is nothing more completely gratifying than the expressing of gratitude.

This testimony is given so that others can be helped and encouraged in their search for Truth. Christian Science is truly the way.
