Testimonies of Healing

We learn in Christian Science that gratitude must become a living influence in our daily lives. The outward expression of our appreciation of this influence is part of our reflection of Spirit; and we all can offer a testimony of the healing power of divine Science through our periodicals and our Wednesday evening meetings.

The first week that I became a student of Christian Science I was permanently healed of using drugs of any kind. During the years that have followed, this truth has been my only physician, and I have enjoyed excellent health.

With a longing for freedom from fear and unhappiness, I began the study and application of Christian Science about eighteen years ago. I am grateful to say that this Science has proved to be the Comforter, bringing more satisfaction and happiness than I had thought possible.

My first testimony was published over ten years ago. Since that time so much good has come to me and mine that it is time I wrote another.

Gladly I give testimony to the beneficent influence of the instruction given in the Christian Science Sunday School which helped my daughter in a time of great need. She met with an accident which caused severe injuries to her mouth.

I should like to express my gratitude for and appreciation of what Christian Science is doing for humanity. First of all, I am exceedingly thankful that in my girlhood home we were privileged to study the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs.

It is with a desire to thank God that I offer this testimony of gratitude for His law, Christian Science, which has been revealed in this age by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. Twenty years ago I experienced my first healing in Christian Science.

The first thing I read relating to Christian Science was a book on the life of Mrs. Eddy.

Although I became acquainted with Christian Science when I was a boy and was even then convinced of its fundamental rightness, it was only when my wife was instantaneously healed of an acute intestinal illness, twenty years ago, that I became seriously interested. During the year and a half that followed this healing, a great variety of experiences gave me abundant opportunity to apply what I was newly learning of the truth, and ample proof of the unassailable efficacy of Christian Science.
