Testimonies of Healing

Although I became acquainted with Christian Science when I was a boy and was even then convinced of its fundamental rightness, it was only when my wife was instantaneously healed of an acute intestinal illness, twenty years ago, that I became seriously interested. During the year and a half that followed this healing, a great variety of experiences gave me abundant opportunity to apply what I was newly learning of the truth, and ample proof of the unassailable efficacy of Christian Science.

It is with deep gratitude that I desire to make known the inestimable blessings which have come to me through Christian Science. I am grateful for the many physical healings I have received, among them those of quinsy, influenza, and burns.

My first healing in Christian Science is most precious to me, because I was healed of ignorance of God's love. I was baptized and brought up according to the teachings of an orthodox church, became a member of that church at the age of twelve, and was an active worker in it as a young girl.

In deep gratitude to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I wish to tell in this testimony, as well as mere words can, of the blessings that have come to me through her teachings. "Freely ye have received, freely give.

It is with sincere gratitude for the blessings Christian Science has brought me that I give this testimony. There have been many physical healings, among them those of the effects of a very severe dog bite, athlete's foot, and strained ligaments.

In 1929, 1 was stricken with rheumatism. Knowing nothing of Christian Science, I naturally turned to the physicians for treatment.

Many blessings have come to my home through the application of Christian Science. I am especially grateful for a recent healing.

No greater joy have I known than that which I have gained through the study and application of Christian Science. It is my desire, in giving this testimony, to share my gratitude for the blessings which I have received through its teachings.

With all my heart I thank our Father-Mother God for having led me to Christian Science. Three people very close to my heart, my grandmother, whom I revered very much, my only brother, and a dear friend, were snatched away from me through death—one right after the other.

Realizing my indebtedness to Christian Science for health and peace of mind, I wish to express my gratitude through one of the periodicals. I have been healed of severe stomach trouble; also of heart trouble, diseases with which my father passed on.
