Testimonies of Healing

I should like to give thanks for a healing which took place a number of years ago. In July, 1922, I was suddenly seized in the night with violent pains.

I want to express my gratitude for progress during the ten years I have studied Christian Science, also for six years of Sunday school, which I have enjoyed immensely. I have had many difficulties to overcome.

This testimony is being sent in an effort to express some small measure of the deep gratitude I feel to God for the gift to us all of Christian Science. For many years this truth has been my comforter, my help, my companion, and when earnestly and honestly applied it has never failed me.

If any parents are disappointed because their children do not appear to be interested in the teachings of Christian Science, I hope they will see this testimony and take heart. I was sent to the Christian Science Sunday School at the age of two years and a half, but I did not seem receptive to the truth.

In the winter of 1932-1933 I was one of the many who felt hopeless because of lost savings and lost employment. It was the blackest panic I had ever seen.

So much joy and freedom is pouring into my life year by year through my effort to live Christian Science that I want to testify to its healing power in a way which may help others. Many times I have found that a careful and consecrated study of the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly has uncovered and destroyed error.

I am very grateful for what Christian Science has done for my family and for me. We have had many proofs of its healing power.

I wish I could express in words my gratitude for the wonderful freedom and protection that I have experienced through the study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by that consecrated and divinely inspired woman, Mary Baker Eddy.

Christian science has brought me so many blessings that I feel I must express my appreciation of them. Eleven years ago I was sick in body and thought; many kinds of discord were being manifested in our home.

I caught my first glimpse of Christian Science about twenty-five years ago. At that time a son, about seven years old, was healed of inflammatory rheumatism.
