Testimonies of Healing

My interest in Christian Science was first awakened by the healing, in 1906, of a member of my family of a so-called incurable disease, after doctors had given her up and declared that there was no help for her. During the first reading of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs.

" It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord. " I wish to express my gratitude for the numerous blessings I have received through the study and application of Christian Science.

Like thousands of others, I feel I must add my expression of gratitude for Christian Science and its blessings. I became interested in this Science over ten years ago, at a time when I was seeking for the right religion.

Christian Science found me in a state of hopeless despair. Due to a severe operation, which left me in a worse state than before, I was extremely nervous and was also losing weight and strength rapidly.

When I was a little girl I had a playmate who attended the Christian Science Sunday School, and whose mother radiated so much love as a student of this Science that I found myself attracted to the very name "Christian Science," and so it was that I began attending the Sunday school, and a short time later my brother also began attending. Thus it was that the healing message of Truth was brought into our home.

My blessings have been so manifold that I wish to express my gratitude. It has been my privilege to witness and experience many healings since taking up the study of Christian Science.

During more than twenty years it has been my privilege to know of Christian Science; and I am happy to testify to its healing efficacy and to its regenerating influence. I have been healed of many physical conditions; false traits of disposition have also been overcome, and erroneous thinking has been replaced with higher, more spiritual thoughts, resulting in harmony and happiness.

In the autumn of 1914 I first heard of Christian Science. At the time I was in great distress with heart attacks.

I am deeply grateful to have found Christian Science, and for all the numerous blessings it has brought me. I had suffered for many years from stomach trouble and was reduced to taking only a little tea and rusk.

To express my gratitude for the Cause which Mary Baker Eddy established when she founded Christian Science I am offering my testimony. I became interested in this Science about 1910 while seeking physical healing for my husband.
