Testimonies of Healing
My blessings have been so manifold that I wish to express my gratitude. It has been my privilege to witness and experience many healings since taking up the study of Christian Science.
During more than twenty years it has been my privilege to know of Christian Science; and I am happy to testify to its healing efficacy and to its regenerating influence. I have been healed of many physical conditions; false traits of disposition have also been overcome, and erroneous thinking has been replaced with higher, more spiritual thoughts, resulting in harmony and happiness.
I am deeply grateful to have found Christian Science, and for all the numerous blessings it has brought me. I had suffered for many years from stomach trouble and was reduced to taking only a little tea and rusk.
In the autumn of 1914 I first heard of Christian Science. At the time I was in great distress with heart attacks.
To express my gratitude for the Cause which Mary Baker Eddy established when she founded Christian Science I am offering my testimony. I became interested in this Science about 1910 while seeking physical healing for my husband.
I have been a student of Christian Science for about five years. Previous to the summer of 1931, I had not read a word of Christian Science or talked about it to anyone.
It is with a sense of the deepest gratitude for Christian Science that I give this testimony. My knowledge of the healing power of this Science came when a member of my household was completely and beautifully healed of a grave illness experienced during childbirth.
One of the first healings which I experienced in Christian Science was of extreme nervousness, which I had seemed to manifest since a young girl. The medical law stated that a change of climate would be of some benefit to me, but although this was tried, I was never healed.
I am increasingly grateful for Christian Science and for what it has done for me and is doing for all mankind. I have had many wonderful proofs of its efficacy and healing power when properly applied.
I HOPE this testimony may encourage all those who are struggling with physical or other difficulties, who are seeking the truth,and would be freed from their sufferings. In James we read, "The prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
