
Testimonies of Healing
There is no limit to the blessings and benefits that have come to me, and that will continue to come to me, through the study of Christian Science. Likewise there is no limit to my gratitude to God, to Jesus the Christ, and to Mary Baker Eddy for these blessings.
It is with a grateful heart that I give my testimony, hoping it may turn someone to God, our great Physician, who "healeth all thy diseases. " I had many healings and proofs of God's care before taking up the study of Christian Science.
With deep gratitude for Christian Science and for the many blessings received through it I gladly give the following testimony. At one time I developed a bad cough, and although we worked in Christian Science as well as we could, the cough did not yield.
My gratitude to God for the many healings I have received through Christian Science is unbounded. Many years before the truth about God and man was revealed to me, my home and my relationship with my husband were discordant, and naturally our business suffered from this misfortune.
When I first heard of Christian Science I was seriously ill with what had been diagnosed as tubercular peritonitis. Different treatments had been or were being tried, but little hope for recovery was given me by the attending physicians and I grew steadily worse and was thoroughly discouraged.
For some time I have felt a desire to write of my gratitude to Christian Science for the many blessings I have received. About thirty years ago I heard a lecture given by a physician, who spoke against Christian Science and Mrs.
I feel it my duty to express my great gratitude to God, who, in His loving-kindness, has acquainted me with Christian Science, the blessed heritage left us by that great and noble woman, Mrs. Eddy.
It is with joy and gratitude that I give thanks to God for His goodness which has been revealed to me through the study and application of Christian Science. Over a period of twenty years the truths of Christian Science have sustained me through many trying human experiences.
I am most deeply grateful for all the joy and health and freedom which Christian Science has brought into my life. I have had many healings, but above all I am grateful for the wonderful sense of God's nearness and ever-presence which the study of Christian Science has brought to me.
Words can hardly express my gratitude for Christian Science. Only those who have passed through an experience akin to poverty know the joy of being freed in the right way from a terrible sense of bondage.
