
Testimonies of Healing
I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science and for what it has done for me in the past eighteen years. I came into Science at the age of seventeen, after talking with a lady who had been healed of a broken hip without medical aid.
As an expression of gratitude for Christian Science and its many beneficent activities I send this testimony. I have always enjoyed what would be considered a peaceful home, but since Christian Science has been used in governing it, peace and harmony have been experienced, in spite of most severe trials.

My greatest cause for gratitude is that my parents learned of Christian Science before I was born, thus giving me the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School for the full number of years allowed. A few years ago I had a very wonderful experience.
It was during the winter of 1922 that I first became interested in Christian Science. My wife and I, with our three half-grown children, were then living in a large midwestern city.
Christian Science was presented to me by a loving friend when I sent for her to come and explain it to me. I was in great despair, suffering from rheumatism for which several doctors said they could do no more.
With the thought of trying to help others I should like to relate an experience which I had with our youngest daughter during the first month after our turning to Christian Science about six years ago. She was then two and a half years of age, and was very good about playing and amusing herself.
In November, 1932, I suffered severely with the fifth attack of stone in the kidney. I had been having these attacks about every two weeks, each one being more severe than the last one.
In April, 1922, I was in the position where all material streams were dry. Through the constant desire to understand life aright, I was continually praying in the words of the Psalm, "O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me.
There is no limit to the blessings and benefits that have come to me, and that will continue to come to me, through the study of Christian Science. Likewise there is no limit to my gratitude to God, to Jesus the Christ, and to Mary Baker Eddy for these blessings.
