Testimonies of Healing

[Original testimony in German] I give this testimony in deep gratitude to God, also to Christ Jesus, and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. About five years ago I was sent to a hospital because of illness; my legs and back had become paralyzed so that I had to be carried, and my internal organs had become inactive.

In the early part of March, 1922, I became afflicted with involuntary movement of my head. I lost all control of it, my head twitching, jerking, from side to side, and this was accompanied by much pain.

I wish to express my gratitude for healings we have received through Christian Science. About five years ago I was healed of grief when a loved one passed on.

In June, 1931, I completed four years at the University of Illinois, four years that were a series of beautiful demonstrations. The greatest obstacle to be overcome was that of lack of supply.

One day I noticed that I could hear only faintly with my left ear, and I also felt as if there was something in it that ought not to be there. I gave myself a Christian Science treatment, according to the teachings of Mary Baker Eddy.

I wish to express the sincere gratitude I feel for Christian Science, which means everything to me. I find it very practical and satisfying when correctly applied, although I did not turn to it for healing.

I am truly grateful for Christian Science. The privilege of attending Sunday school has been mine since early childhood.

Christian Science has brought me greater freedom. As I look back over a period of nine years, liberation from the bondages of atheism, hatred, fear, and sin stand out as milestones.

I can fully bear out all the testimony of my wife, and on my own behalf add a word for the great blessing of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, which has been, and is, such a wonderful help. — W.

For the past fourteen years I have been receiving good and perfect gifts from our Father-Mother God, as revealed to me in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. The thought has come to me that I, too, have an opportunity to give a gift by sharing the good that I have received.
